Dear Supporter,
We need your help to build a green and democratic economy in the South Bronx.
Now more than ever we need examples of a way out of reckless corporate practices that sacrifice people, communities, and the planet for quick profits. Green Worker Cooperatives is working hard to do just that, create a way out. And 2011 is gearing up to be an incredible year for us as we launch a new phase in developing worker-owned green businesses in the Bronx. The Coop Academy is our very own boot camp for worker-owned green businesses. And next year we’re expanding the Coop Academy with new partnerships providing us with access to business counselors, student researchers, web designers, and legal clinics. By the end of the 2011 Coop Academy each cooperative is expected to be fully up and running…no “ifs”, “ands”, or “buts”.
We’re turning the South Bronx into a breeding ground for worker-owned green businesses.
In order for these aspiring co-op entrepreneurs to have the support they need, we need your help. Donate now via our website. $50 will provide child care during one our Coop Academy courses; $100 will pay for 30 days of social media advertising in 2011 for Coop Academy recruitment; and $250 will pay an experienced instructor to teach one of our Coop Academy courses such as sales, finances, marketing, and governance, among others. We encourage you to make a one-time donation of $100 or more or a recurring monthly donation of $10, $35, or $50. It’s easy to do.
Thank you for your past support. Please help us continue inspiring minds, igniting imaginations, and launching new worker-owned green businesses by making a generous tax-deductible gift today.
Help make history happen.
In the spirit of Cooperation,
Omar Freilla
